  1. Yeah, audacity can be more than a little unintuitive sometimes. My two least favorite things:
    * Copy your project to a USB drive to give to your partner, and finding out later than audacity didn’t bother to copy all those whiz-bang sound effects into your project folder, so now your partner is missing them.
    * Dragging clips around to time-shift them is pretty neat, but what if I want to reposition several clips across multiple tracks all by the same amount? 🙁

    • Wait really? Did we have a horrible experience with audacity?

Other than my own inability to remember that you can use any of the functions while it was paused, I thought it wasn’t too bad!

Of course, our radio show was pretty straightforward to put together.

  2. Yes, yes, a million times yes.

This is exactly what Audacity is. One of my group members used GarageBand and the quality difference was incredible- the interface of Audacity definitely put limits on what I felt was feasible in terms of my own work.

  3. I have to say I’ve never worked with an audio program before so I enjoyed experimenting with audacity……until it started crashing on us while trying to finalize the show and then refused to open it’s own .aup files. Might be good to see what other free ones are out there, but overall I think there’s a lot you can do with audacity. Gotta love the image!!!!!!
